Oakville, Ontario – The Ontario Retirement Communities Association, joined by the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority and College of Nurses of Ontario, is hosting a series of Road Shows throughout Ontario in November to support the introduction of the next phase of retirement home regulations coming into effect on January 1, 2013.

Starting November 1, Road Shows will be hosted in Toronto, London, Mississauga, Barrie and Ottawa for retirement home operators to learn more about RHA regulations related to care planning and working with unregulated care professionals. Retirement home operators will also receive additional information about the inspection and licensing process and will get the latest updates about best practices and resources available from ORCA to support ongoing regulatory compliance.

If you are a retirement home operator and wish to register or learn more, please email us at training@orcaretirement.com, or register online here today (due to limited space, members of the general public are not eligible to attend).

If you are a member of the public or a family member of a resident who wants to learn more about the regulations, please email us at info@orcaretirement.com or call us at 905-403-0500. You may also contact the RHRA directly.

ORCA hosts travelling Road Shows each Spring and Fall. They are part of the association’s ongoing commitment to its growing membership to guide quality and innovation in the retirement home sector through meaningful education, training, policy programs and advocacy.
