Our 2015 Summer Conference has come to a close – and what a fantastic conference it was! We were pleased to have over 250 members join us for dynamic education sessions, networking and a little fun.

Education Day

The Education Day featured a diverse group of speakers. John Wright, of Ipsos Reid, spoke about the perspectives of Canadians on their health systems and more. The morning program, focused on exploring new options in funded services for senior living, gave participants a chance to hear from the ORCA/Rotman School of Management study, explore the research with an expert panel and provide their own input through roundtables.

In the afternoon, the theme was understanding adult children. First, Karen Anderson presented on an extensive American Seniors Housing Association study on “Senior Living for the Next Generation.” Second, Karen moderated a panel discussion of adult children who had recently helped their parent find a retirement home.
