June is Seniors’ Month in Ontario. This year’s theme is “Seniors Making a Difference,” recognizing and celebrating the important contributions that seniors provide to our communities.
The Ontario Seniors Secretariat is encouraging all Ontarians to take a photo of a senior making a difference and tweet it to @OntSeniors, with the hashtag #VibrantSeniors. You can watch a message from the Hon. Mario Sergio, Minister for Seniors Affairs, below.
We encourage everyone to take a moment this month and recognize the outstanding contributions that seniors make to our communities every day. We know that many retirement home operators will be hosting special events for the over 55,000 seniors that live in licensed retirement homes across the province. Please feel free to reach out to your local retirement home and see what is happening this Seniors’ Month!
