The holiday spirit was certainly in the air at the Avalon Retirement Lodge on Monday, December 8th. Kindergarten and Grade 5 students from Island Lake Public School spoiled residents with their beautiful voices. Among several traditional holiday songs the kids also performed the Canadian favourite “The Good Old Hockey Game”. Resident Gwen, provided a lovely story time, telling the classic “The Night Before Christmas”. It was a great afternoon of fun and music. You can be sure this won’t be the last time ILPS and the Lodge team up for some fantastic intergenerational programming.
